On January 19th, 2019, a team of 16 volunteers traveled to Teupasenti, El Paraiso, Honduras, to provide medical, dental, and vision care to the people of the region. This is a small village outside of Danli, El Paraiso, which is a city we have worked in multiple times before. The people of this region live day to day in extreme poverty, and patients who visited our clinic reported walking up to four hours each way to reach us, often traveling with their entire family to be seen by our providers. Overall we saw about 860 patients, and provided treatment for such conditions as high blood pressure, diabetes, infections, carpal tunnel, arthritis, dental disease, visual impairment, and many more. Pastors on our team were able to pray with our patients and present them with the gospel as they waited.
