We are very excited to announce the successful completion of our second trip of 2019, to Danli, Honduras!
This trip represented a huge step forward for us, as well as a number of milestones:
Despite political unrest that presented a transportation challenge as protesting truck drivers blocked roads throughout the country, our team was able to provide both medical care and the gospel of Jesus to some of the poorest people in the world. Check out the photos below to see some of what we did. Thank you to everyone who helped with support, whether financial or prayerful!
This trip represented a huge step forward for us, as well as a number of milestones:
- This was the first time we were able to send two teams in one year
- This was the beginning of our new women's health program, and we were able to screen over 150 women for cervical cancer, as well as performing 6 LEEP procedures to treat suspicious lesions
- We treated a record number of patients (about 1,500!)
- We were able to give away an estimated 250,000 doses of medications to people who would otherwise have to go without them!
